不管是新手还是老手，对WordPress主题中不同模板间的层次关系仍然感到头疼，这张图也许非常的有用，特别是对那些经常设计或者修改主题文件的家伙。

我一直在寻找一种新的方式替换目前theme头部的随机图片方式。主要原因在于基于rotator.php的方式载入图片太慢。网上有很多方式，但真正不留痕迹的进行随机或者依次图片变换的还不多。努力的Google终于找到了vslider。采用这个插件的方式是它本身就很灵活的后台设置。图片变换可以依赖三种方式，包括自己Custom的图片，或者来自post的custom field图片，或者featured的类中每一个post里包含的图片。转换效果也可选，包括fade和slide两种方式。还可以自定义图片的宽和高。当然，css的自定义更是非常简单。

确实，vslider还是个好插件，即使像我一样仅仅为了增加theme头部的图片转换效果而不链接post的干活。猛击这里下载

新年快到了，博客也改一下面孔

长期看一个界面会有审美疲劳，配合新年的到来，博客也小小的改版一下。说是新面孔，实际上还是自己以前用过的老皮而已。只不过这张皮是在wordpress 2.3年代制作的，可谓时间久远，现在用起来，便俨然是新面孔。

当然，对于wordpress的快速发展，特别是最近2.9版本的上线，还是有必要升级内核，让驱动更加的强劲。这个面孔，想想还是有几个小小的特点的:

使用了自己研究的内置的非插件的lightbox效果；
使用了willin大师的内置嵌套评论ajax comments效果；
使用了JINWAYSAY的利用JQuery为WordPress的嵌套回复添加@reply功能；
使用了ZWW同学的内置对@的悬浮评论显示；
修改主题使其符合w3c的标准和要求；
实现了首页文章第一篇全文，其它摘要显示的效果；
利用smooth.js添加了不同锚点间的平滑移动效果；
根据木木同学的方法对文档连接和links作了优化；
头部图片随机显示；
还有其它的点点滴滴的优化和。。。

总之，这个皮是送给新年的自己，但愿新年更好。

WordPress在Symbian手机的客户端软件Wordmobi

一直想给自己的E63找个wordpress的客户端，这样自己可以真正的利用全键盘手机而少用电脑上网。我知道Blackberry有wordpress客户端，iphone有没有我不知道。在网上搜索后发现，对于Symbian系统的手机，对wordmobi的推荐是最高的。于是到Wordmobi的官网下载安装。

安装步骤其实很简单，由于该软件是基于Phython的，所以先安装Phython，然后安装Wordmobi（最新版0.9.3）。如此而已，第一次进入后简单的设置账户后就开始工作了。需要注意的是，如果你的wordpress安装在WWW下的一个次级文件夹，需要将blog的地址设置包括该文件夹名，而不是你简单的域名。

My lifestream website named Cardlife is online now

This national day, I have constructed my lifestream website-Cardlife. I use this website to track my activities across variable websites in the internet. Maybe in future, it will be as my main site replacing my current wordpress blog. I like it, really. It can be as an evolved blog together with all kinds of RSS information.

Many thanks to the wonderful opensource program of Sweetcron, although it seems to be too simple and has a long time without updates. Many online services such as the friendfeed can be choosed to be as your lifestream website, but I like to do it by my hands. If you want to construct a lifestream like me, you can download this program here and install it simply, like the WordPress. Enjoying it!

By the way, what is the lifestream? May you can Google or Baidu, but the great Wikipedia has already told you, in which lifestream is

利用MobilePress插件为blog开通手机阅读版

普通的wordpress blog在手机上阅读总是太杂乱，于是试着寻找可能的plugin能进行设置blog手机版。随便Google了下，发现很多人推荐MobilePress，下载一试，果然还不错。在同一个域名下，该插件可以自动识别浏览器终端类型并进行普通版和手机版的自动转换，而且还支持theme更换，且能自己修改theme，使得手机报blog和普通版blog在风格上大体一致。

安装该插件也是傻瓜型，仅仅是下载上传激活即可。简单的setting也很容易，一般默认即可。

A new frontpage of my blog have been reloaded

I have changed my blog front page into a static page of website navigation. Of course, blog updating can also be found in the sidebar of the front page. Popular or most used website links have been gathered in the front page.

It becomes available for those people (particularly for Chinese people) who want to surge without remembering the website address. Moreover, one click instead of inputting a long string of characters is a better way to save your time.

The difficulties that a Chinese write his blog in English

In China, many bloggers write their blog in English. The most famous person is Wangjianshuo who post his English blog nearly everyday. However, there are many difficulties when a Chinese write in English.

Language–my English is poor!!!

Maybe most people will agree with me that this is the first difficulty. We were born in China and Chinese is our native language. Although we began to study English when we are young, our English levels are yet poor or not very native. When we want to write blog in English, we need frequently reference classical sentences in dictionaries or from web resources.

Which content should be written in English

It is hard to select appropriate contents to write in English. Things or cultures out of China? This is a bad idea because most Chinese have no experiences abroad. Things found in China? But which the foreign readers will be attracted? We have no ideas. A better way maybe introduce China’s sceneries, cultures, or cities to help foreigners traveling in China, such as those that Wangjianshuo has done.

No reader visits your blog

In a country that most people write and speak in Chinese, an English blog will attract little visitors. Moreover, many foreigners will also not visit your English blog because they cannot understand your poor presentation.

So, a Chinese man write his blog in English need extra confidence and perseverance to go ahead.
