A conservatory-greenhouse group named ‘Wonders of the World’s Plants’ has been recently opened in the South China Botanical Garden, Guangzhou. It is constructed by four separated conservatories, including one main conservatory and three satellite conservatories around it. The total shape of the greenhouse group is like several silk-cotton flowers.

The main conservatory is used to conserve and show the plants collected from the rainforest. All kinds of evergreen trees, grasses and flowers have been assembled in the conservatory, together with a circinal air corridor, a man-made waterfall and a little lake. The three satellite conservatories are used to show plants collected in different ecological zones. One conservatory named the Polar Room conserve arctic plants thriving on iceberg, such as moss. The second conservatory conserve wonderful desert plants, while the third mainly show strange flowering plants occuring in different habitats in the planet.

I have been to several greenhouses constructed in other areas and countries, but this one is the biggest and the most beautiful, at least in Asia.

If you want to visit the greenhouse group, you can go by bus 235, 84 and others conveniently. The ticket price is 10RMB (used to enter into the South China Botanical Garden) + 50 RMB (used to enter into the greenhouse group). Maybe it is a little expensive, but it is worthwhile.
